Fire Retardant Letterbox - 12"

These Fire-rated letterplates are fitted with an intumescent liner around the telescopic sleeve section of the letterplate. In the event of a fire the intumescent liner expands to seal the letterbox aperture and retains the fire integrity of the door. Fire-rated versions are available in 'Post Port' letterplate assemblies.

Measuring Guide:
- First remove your letterbox by lifting the flaps and unscrewing the fixing screws or bolts.
- Once the letter box is removed measure the exact width and height of the aperture (hole) and check the the sizes against the above diagram.
- Measure the door mid rail - panel thickness to determine the letter box thickness needed (ie 20/40mm or 40/80mm)
- You may well find there is a few millimetres difference to your existing letter box, the door mid-rail or panel aperture can easily be trimmed using a hacksaw or similar.
