Intumescent fire and smoke seals are a graphite based seal contained within a PVC sleeve. In the event of a fire it expands to many times its original size and seals the gap around the door providing a safe and effective barrier against the passage of fire, smoke and hot gases. The addition of nylon pile provides an effective barrier against the hazards of cold smoke.
