This is the Fuhr Type 15 Bifold door lock which features the latest range of door locks by Fuhr. It has a more compact hook gearbox housing so that it is more compatible with slimmer profiles such as those used on bi-folding doors in both uPVC & aluminimum. The two roller cam lock points are on the outside of the hooks rather than the standard locks which has the rollers inside the 2 hook points. The 2 hooks are also wider apart than the standard lock to allow the operation of the mechanism to be smoother whilst also pulling the top and bottom corners into place which is required on bi-fold doors. The lock can often be found on residential uPVC doors also and is also able to accept shootbots.

This particular door lock has a 30mm backset to suit the smart slim aluminium profile system and is not to be confused with the standard Fuhr 856 door lock.

The gearbox fitted to this lock is built on the 856 lock however the latch is subtly different and will not match should you try to fit the standard 856 gearbox. Therefore, this lock is only available as a full lock replacement

The overall length of the lock faceplate shown can be trimmed down at the ends with a hacksaw to suit the length of your door.
