Suitable for timber, aluminium and timber/aluminium composite outward opening windows which incorporate grooves in the sash and frame to fit the hardware.
The robust system has been designed with multi-storey public and commercial buildings in mind, including hotels. Equally suitable for high-rise domestic applications, the hardware solution is ideal for situations in which safe control of the opening is necessary.
Performance, security and safety have all been considered when designing the UNI system. The Top Swing Reversible gearing conforms to BS 6375 Part 2 2009 and BS 7950 when additional support hardware is used.
This variant of the UNI range is also capable of achieving emergency escape (providing that all relevant building regulations are met). An integral child restrictor and reverse catch is supplied as standard for safety.
The sash can be fully reversed for easy, safe cleaning from the inside. The sash reversal takes place outside of the building to avoid damage to interior curtains or blinds.
The sash and frame detail are the same for all window PN UNI variants, allowing styles to be fitted without changing profile routing. This ensures a uniform aesthetic appearance on all window styles.
