The automatic AV2 mechanical lock operates as a slam secure lock as soon as the door is closed.  AV2 B allows home owners to unlock the door from a distance using a remote control device. An internal "snib switch" enables the door to be left in a convenient mode. Switching to green allows entrance by simply pressing down the external handle.  It's ideal when bringing in the shopping or loading the car.  Simply switch to black to re-engage full security.
The AV2-B does not require any mains electricity supply but is operated by standard alkaline AA batteries.
